Provides one-time funds for the Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program in anticipation of a projected shortfall during the 1999-2000 winter season.

Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble, this Act takes effect when approved.

SUMMARY

This bill provides a one-time General Fund appropriation of $4,500,000 to the Maine State Housing Authority for the Low- income Home Energy Assistance Program in anticipation of a projected shortfall during the 1999-2000 winter season.
