Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. Legislative approval required for automation of drawbridges. The Memorial
Bridge and the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge that connect the Town of
Kittery and the City of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, may not be
automated without prior approval of the Legislature. Funds to
automate the Memorial Bridge and the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge
that connect the Town of Kittery and the City of Portsmouth, New
Hampshire may not be expended without prior approval of the
Legislature.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires prior approval of the Legislature to
automate and to expend funds to automate the Memorial Bridge and
the Sara Mildred Long Bridge, which are the 2 drawbridges that
connect the Town of Kittery and the City of Portsmouth, New
Hampshire.
