Representative Tiffany Roberts

Rep. Tiffany Roberts is serving her third term in the Maine House of Representatives. She is in her second term as House chair of the Legislature’s Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business Committee, which develops policy on topics such as economic development, student debt relief and professional licensing.

Rep. Roberts is a small business owner and public school parent. She works in graphic design and digital marketing, exclusively serving local businesses. She served on the board of directors of a child care center and has been a vestry leadership member at St. George’s Episcopal Church in York. Rep. Roberts is also an active volunteer in her community, and she is involved in the South Berwick-Tuskegee Sister City Project.

In the 129th Legislature, she served on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee, where she was a strong advocate for preserving Maine’s public lands. Additionally, Rep. Roberts has focused on providing support to individuals impacted by the opioid epidemic. She currently serves as the legislative member of the MaineMOM Advisory Panel, which is tackling the opioid epidemic amongst Maine mothers.

Rep. Roberts lives with her three sons, her partner Jeff, a cat and a dog in the Agamenticus neighborhood of South Berwick. She is working toward a degree in business administration and digital marketing.

Brief description of the subject matter handled by the committee: Business regulation, including automobile and fuel sales; retail pricing; franchising; advertising; real estate practices; professional and occupational licensing; consumer protection; Finance Authority of Maine (FAME), including student assistance programs at Finance Authority of Maine; economic development; economic planning and development agencies; venture capital and trade programs; opportunity zones; import competition; product marketing; research and development; technology commercialization; technology transfers; tourism; and defense facility conversion.
