Representative Lois Galgay Reckitt

Rep. Lois Galgay Reckitt is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives. A member of the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame, she is a longtime advocate for Maine women and families.

Before retiring, Rep. Reckitt spent 36 years as executive director of Family Crisis Services in Cumberland County. Under her leadership, the organization became a leader in domestic violence services and prevention. She has received numerous awards from various state and community organizations, including recognition for her work within the criminal justice system from the Maine Judicial Branch, Maine State Bar Association and Maine Chiefs of Police.

Rep. Reckitt holds degrees from Brandeis University and Boston University. She lives in South Portland.
