Rep. Maggie O’Neil is serving her fourth term in the Maine House of Representatives. O’Neil grew up in Saco. After graduating from Catherine McAuley High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Classics and History from King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. O'Neil served her community and engaged in a number of political initiatives starting at a young age. While in school, O’Neil provided weekly educational support to students from immigrant families and no-cost after school programming for families in need of assistance. O’Neil also served an AmeriCorps term with the Maine Conservation Corps, where she deepened her commitment to protecting Maine’s natural resources. She also worked locally both as an Assistant Park Ranger at Ferry Beach State Park and in hospitality. Currently, Rep. O'Neil is a law student at the University of Maine. She serves with a number of local organizations, including Age Friendly Saco and Maine Law's chapter of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice.
