In Memory of: (5-30) Lawrence W. "Larry" Shaw, of Rumford. Reverend Shaw was a veteran of the United States Navy. Returning to Rumford after his naval service, he established the Church of the Good News and was pastor there for 40 years. He later started His Gathering Place and served its congregation for another 10 years. Throughout these years, he was a familiar and caring presence in town, preaching and counseling across denominations. Even in retirement, he remained active. He served as an elder and member at the Praise Assembly of God Church in Rumford, participating in worship outreach and sermon preparation. Between 1983 and 2013, he made many missionary journeys abroad, including extended trips to China and Honduras and other countries. He built friendships at Portland's Chinese Gospel Church and worked to deliver Bibles and spiritual encouragement to believers there. He also supported mission work in Latin America. Beyond traditional ministry, he applied his faith to practical service. He founded and led an initiative called Mt. Zion Mining, a faith-driven enterprise through which he aimed to support ministry efforts and community needs. Reverend Shaw will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and community;

(5-31) Barbara Ellen (Luce) Gilchrest, of Waldoboro. Mrs. Gilchrest worked as a registered nurse for 40 years, primarily at Miles Memorial Hospital, where she was head of the women's center. She was recognized at the Blaine House as the first obstetric head nurse at Miles and was also credited with starting the first birthing room in the State. In her free time, she worked with the teenage pregnancy program in the Damariscotta area. Mrs. Gilchrest will be long remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Justin, and her family, friends and community;

(5-32) Anthony Jackovich, of Round Pond. Mr. Jackovich was a painted whose work reflected a melding of realist and impressionist techniques. He also worked in bronze sculpture. He studied at The Art Institute of Chicago, and after his service with the United States Navy he went to Paris to study at the Ecole Superieur Nationale de Beaux Arts, the Academie Julian and the Adacemie de la Grande Chaumiere. After time spent in South Africa, California, London and New York City, Mr. Jackovich and his family moved to Round Pond, where he continued his painting and was invited to exhibit at the prestigious 147th annual exhibition of the National Academy of Design in New York City. His paintings hang in museums and many well-known collections, and he exhibited in several important shows throughout the United States. Mr. Jackovich will be long remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Sheala, and his family, friends and community;

(5-33) Libby Karen Rust, of York. Ms. Rust had a career in administration, beginning as a consultant with the Center for Community Planning and Consultant in New York City from 1975 to 1976. Staying in New York City, she then worked as an intern at the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in 1976; staff assistant for the Subcommittee on Mental Health, Task Force on New York City Fiscal Crisis from 1976 to 1977; auditor with American Telephone and Telegraph Company in 1977;and budget examiner for the Office of Budget Review for New York City from 1977 to 1978. She then became the executive director of Strafford County Human Services in Dover, New Hampshire, working from 1978 to 1979; director for allocations and agency relations for the United Way in Portland from 1979 to 1982 and planning and allocations division director from 1982 to 1984; and executive director of the Seacoast United Way in Portsmouth, New Hampshire from 1984 to 1987. She went to California and was the director of development for the American Cancer Society in Los Angeles from 1987 to 1988; associate director of Saint Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles from 1988 to 1989; and director of annual giving for the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation in Orange, California from 1989 to 1991 and assistant director of development from 1991 to 1993. She was director of development at Community Health Services, Inc. in Portland from 1993 to 1994 and executive director of the York County Technology College Foundation from 1994 to 1999. In 1998, she founded Rust Communications Group. Her volunteer work included being a member of the Town of York budget committee from 1979 to 1980; a trustee of Kents Hill School from 1991 to 1993, York Public Library from 1999 to 2002, Mercy Hospital Visiting Nurse Association-Homecare from 1999 to 2005 and Pine Tree Society, Maine from 2001 to 2006. She was a member of the Association Fundraising Professionals Northern New England, serving as president in 2003. She was also active in the Junior League, Portland for many years. Ms. Rust will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family, friends and community;

(5-34) Michael Frederick Estrada, of Rome. Mr. Estrada launched his journalism career in Bennington, Vermont, covering sports for the local paper. He later moved to central Maine and began a career in radio broadcasting. In 1992, alongside fellow radio DJ "Tom O," he co-founded The Mountain Morning Show on WTOS, bringing humor, news and entertainment to listeners across Maine and beyond each morning. In recognition of their outstanding contributions during their 33-year partnership, Mr. Mike and Tom O were inducted into the Maine Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2018. In addition to the sports journalism of his early career, Mr. Estrada penned a weekly Mr. Mike's Musings column and was the mastermind behind The Mountain Morning Show's hilarious Wacky Zany Goofy Radio-type Quiz Shows. He lent his broadcast voice to hundreds of local football games, field hockey matchups and swim meets and was a fixture at annual state high school basketball tournaments. Mr. Estrada will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and community;
