In Memory of: (5-43) Robert Milo Lee Cone, of Gardiner. Mr. Cone was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve. For over three decades, he served his community as a high school science teacher. He also taught driver education courses and was a skiing instructor at Silver Hills in Augusta. After retiring from teaching, he worked at Charlie's Motor Mall. He and his wife, Sallee, worked together at Camp Bishopswood, the Episcopal Church camp in Hope, where she was the camp nurse and he was the assistant director. There he guided campers up Katahdin and other mountains while helping direct the day-to-day activities at the camp. He also served his community through the Masons and the Shriners and was actively involved with Order of the Eastern Star, holding high offices within the organization. Mr. Cone will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;

(5-44) Lado Lodoka, of New Gloucester. Mr. Lodoka was a community advocate, political organizer, leader in the South Sudanese community and tireless voice in support of Maine's close-knit immigrant community. He was known for his civic engagement work, including his work with the League of Women Voters from 2018 to 2022, where he pioneered a new canvassing program, Neighbor to Neighbor, which was focused on residents of affordable housing developments. He worked for Portland's Refugee Services program and spent much of his last years advocating for housing for immigrants and all Mainers. He was the founder of the Maine Immigrant Housing Coalition, helping immigrants through the homebuying process, and was an active member of Housing Justice Maine, pushing for legislation to protect and strengthen tenant's rights, increase affordable housing and promote housing as a human right. Mr. Lodoka will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;
