Representative John C. Schneck
  Representing: Bangor (part)
District #126

Rep. John C. Schneck is serving his fourth term in the Maine House of Representatives.

Schneck is semiretired with a diverse work history that includes running a small family pest-control business, working as a treaty reinsurance underwriter in New York City and, most recently, as the afternoon news anchor on WKIT and WZON, Stephen King’s radio stations.

Schneck is a licensed amateur radio operator and a veteran who served in the U.S. Naval Reserve during the Vietnam War. He has been a member of the American Legion for more than 40 years.

After spending many years backpacking and hiking extensively throughout New England, Schneck and his family chose to move to Maine in 1997. He and his wife, Mary, settled in Bangor, where they raised their two daughters, Katie and Kelly. Schneck has been a vibrant part of his community, volunteering in various capacities, including as a volunteer firefighter.

Schneck and Mary continue to live in Bangor with their four-legged son, an Airedale named Murphy.
