Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill establishes and maintains assisted living and long-term care services.  It includes a one-time General Fund appropriation of $18,000,000 in fiscal year 2024-25 to the Department of Corrections for a new facility to provide assisted living and long-term care services to correctional clients.  It also includes a General Fund appropriation of $8,404,551 in fiscal year 2024-25 for one Correctional Care Treatment Worker position, 15 Correctional Officer positions, 5 Correctional Officer Cook positions, 3 Correctional Sergeant positions, one Corrections Unit Manager position, contracted medical staffing and related costs to operate the facility.
Any additional costs to the Department of Health and Human Services from the provisions of this bill are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
