|
This bill provides
legislative authorization for a lease renewal of certain lands in Somerset
County. The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry initially
signed a nonrevenue-generating lease with the Central Maine Power Company in
1999. Legislative authorization is occurring now to avoid any potential
conflict with certain constitutional requirements for real estate held by the
State. This authorization will allow ACF to negotiate a lease renewal if
necessary. The lease renewal may include revenue. Any Other Special Revenue
Funds revenue generated is not anticipated to be significant. |
