Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Health and Human Services will require General Fund appropriations of $26,865 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $53,731 in fiscal year 2024-25 to provide reimbursement for the costs of newly born male infant circumcision beginning January 1, 2024. Federal Expenditures Fund allocations will also be required for the FMAP match.

Additional costs to the State Employee Health Plan associated with requiring health insurance coverage for newly born male infant circumcision are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
