Preliminary Fiscal Impact Statement
Minor revenue decrease - General Fund
Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill exempts watercraft and seaplanes from New Hampshire operating on interstate waters between Maine and New Hampshire from Maine's lake and river protection sticker requirement if New Hampshire enacts legislation requiring a similar lake and river protection program. The bill also allows the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IFW) to issue complimentary hunting, fishing and trapping license packages to a person who has lost, or who has permanently lost the use of, both lower extremities. It also allows IFW to defer a moose permit for one season if a permit holder or immediate family member has a significant medical illness. Any decrease in revenue as a result of the provisions of this bill is anticipated to be minor.
