An Act To Humanely Treat Animals Trapped in Buildings
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 7 MRSA §3948, sub-§3-A is enacted to read:
3-A. Animal trapped in building. An animal control officer or law enforcement officer who responds to a report of an animal trapped in a building shall attempt to capture and release the animal unharmed unless doing so would pose a threat to public health or safety.
