Fiscal Detail and Notes
Establishes a new account, the Halibut Fund, within the Department of Marine Resources and provides an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of  $10,763 in fiscal year 2008-2009 for halibut research and implementation of management measures for the halibut fishery.  Revenue deposited into this fund will be received from the sale of halibut tags.
It is estimated that two non-resident lobster and crab landing permits will be sold, resulting in General Fund revenue of $1,000 and Other Special Revenue Funds (Lobster Promotion Council) revenue of $500 beginning in fiscal year 2008-09.  The addition of these two permits will reduce wholesale seafood dealer and lobster transportation permits by two, reducing General Fund revenue by $811 and reducing Other Special Revenue Funds (Shellfish Fund) revenue by $500 beginning in fiscal year 2008-09.
