Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment requires that funding for the State Police program be established on a 50% basis between the General Fund and the Highway Fund starting in fiscal year 2009-10 and eliminates future changes in the funding ratio.  In addition, this amendment reduces the one-time Highway Fund allocation to the Department of Transportation in fiscal year 2007-08,  adds a Highway Fund deallocation in fiscal year 2008-09 to maintian a balanced budget, lowers proposed increases for certain motor vehicle related fees that are deposited into the Highway Fund and eliminates the transfer of transportation-related sales tax receipts from the General Fund to the TransCap Trust Fund and to the STAR Transportation Fund.
