This resolve
includes a General Fund appropriation to the Maine Indian Tribal-State
Commission of $5,070 in fiscal years 2007-08 and 2008-09 to provide
administrative and staffing support for the Tribal-State Work Group. It also includes a General Fund
appropriation to the Legislature of $10,600 in fiscal years 2007-08 and
2008-09 for the per diem and other expenses for six meetings of the work
group. The General Fund appropriation
in fiscal year 2008-09 is not necessary and can be removed from the bill
because the Tribal-State Work Group must complete its work and submit a
report by January 2, 2008. Also, the
General Fund appropriation to the Legislature in fiscal year 2007-08 of
$10,600 should be increased to $10,830 to more accurately reflect the
estimated costs. If adjusted as
suggested here, the total cost would be $15,900 for one year only. |
