Fiscal Detail and Notes
Beginning in fiscal year 2007-08, this bill would decrease annual General Fund license revenue by an estimated $1,110 as a result of requiring that mahogany quahog licensees must be present on their vessel when the vessels are engaged in quahog fishing.  At least 10 boats are currently being run by hired captains who would have no reason to hold licenses if they lost their jobs.  ($111 x10 = $1,110).
