Amend the amendment by inserting after the title and before the first indented paragraph the following:
Amend the bill by striking out all of the emergency preamble (page 1, lines 1 to 16 in L.D.)
Amend the bill in section 1 in subsection 4-A in the last line (page 1, line 24 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: " chapter." the following: ' The exemption under this subsection does not apply on the Interstate Highway System, including that portion designated as the Maine Turnpike.'
Amend the bill by striking out all of the emergency clause (page 1, lines 25 and 26 in L.D.)

This amendment strikes the emergency preamble and emergency clause from the bill. The amendment also provides that the axle weight limits and axle weight tolerances exemption in the bill does not apply on the Interstate Highway System, including that portion designated as the Maine Turnpike.
