Resolve, To Protect Public Health and Promote a Healthy Soft-shell Clam Industry

Sec. 1. Establish rules for purchase of soft-shell clams at landings. Resolved: That the Department of Marine Resources shall by rule establish a permit system to allow for the faster sale of soft-shell clams at the landings where soft-shell clams are brought, such as wharfs, boat ramps and other areas, by holders of commercial shellfish licenses to holders of wholesale seafood licenses and holders of retail seafood licenses certified under the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 12, chapter 625 who are purchasing soft-shell clams; and be it further

Sec. 2. Routine technical rules. Resolved: That rules adopted pursuant to section 1 are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.
