An Act To Permit a Noncommercial Agricultural Designation for Certain License Plates
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §501, sub-§12 is enacted to read:
12. Noncommercial agricultural vehicle. The Secretary of State may issue, on application and payment of the applicable fee under section 505, a special registration plate for a truck, tractor or trailer used for conveying livestock for noncommercial agricultural purposes that has a gross vehicle weight over 10,000 pounds, with the words "noncommercial agricultural vehicle" instead of "Vacationland."

This bill permits the issuance of a license plate with a noncommercial agricultural designation for a tractor, truck or trailer that is used for noncommercial agricultural conveyance of livestock and that is over 10,000 pounds in weight.
