Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 17 MRSA §2267-A, sub-§1, as enacted by PL 1981, c. 578, is
amended to read:

 
1. Definition. When used in this section the term "motor
vehicle" means any self-propelled vehicle designed to carry
persons or property or used to transport persons, except
snowmobiles and motor boats.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires the owner of a submerged snowmobile or
motor boat to remove it from the water by eliminating the
exception given to it.
