Representative Christina Riley
  Representing: Jay, Livermore (part) and Livermore Falls
District #74

Rep. Tina Riley is serving her second term in the Maine Legislature.

She and her husband, both master electricians, owned and operated Moelco Electric in Jay for many years. More recently, she worked as an electrician at Rumford Paper Co. Riley completed a five-year electrical apprenticeship through Augusta Electrical JATC and holds a degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology from Kennebec Valley Community College as well as a bachelor of applied science with a minor in business administration from the University of Maine at Augusta.

She has served on the Jay Budget Committee and the Western Maine Local Workforce Investment Board and is an active volunteer mentor with the Spruce Mountain Area Robotics Team.

Tina is concerned about the closing of paper mills in Maine and will work in Augusta to protect jobs in the forest products industry and keep property taxes under control. She wants to ensure lifelong educational opportunities for individuals in her district and across Maine.

Rep. Riley lives in Jay with her husband Shawn and their teenage sons, Shane and Bryan.

Rep. Riley is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities and Technology.

Brief description of the subject matter handled by the committee: Energy policy, including energy resources, efficiency and conservation; electric industry, incl uding supply, transmission and distribution; natural gas industry; telecommunications industry, including mobile, telephone, Internet, broadband and cable television services; E-9-1-1; water and sewer utilities, including district charters; Public Utilitie s Commission; Office of the Public Advocate; Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security; and Efficiency Maine Trust.
