In Memory of: (5-24) Phineas Sprague, of Cape Elizabeth. Mr. Sprague was a graduate of Bowdoin College, where he was a founding member of the Bowdoin College Outing Club. His family business, the Sprague Corporation, was founded by his grandfather and its holdings include more than 2,000 acres of oceanfront land, Richmond Island and Ram Island Farm, which includes Spurwink Farm, site of the Spurwink Airfield Fly-In. Mr. Sprague continued to contribute to programs at Bowdoin College throughout his life, serving on the Board of Overseers beginning in 1985, helping to reestablish rowing as a college sport in 1986 and founding the Bowdoin College Rowing Association. He was also a founding member of the Nonesuch Oar and Paddle Club in Scarborough and a member of the Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Club, cutting some of the first ski trails on the mountain. He served on many charitable boards benefiting groups such as the March of Dimes, Camp Ketcha in Scarborough and the Scarborough Land Trust. Mr. Sprague will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;

(5-25) the Honorable John Bridge, of Manchester. Mr. Bridge was a former Mayor of Augusta, Augusta city councilor and member of Augusta's school board. For 30 years, he was the owner and president of Bridge Construction Company. A philanthropist, he led the fund-raising efforts to build the Kennebec Valley YMCA's current facility, which opened in 2006, and helped countless other projects and charities, including the United Way of Kennebec Valley, Children's Discovery Museum and Kennebec Historical Society. In 2005, he was named the Maine Philanthropist of the Year by the New England Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He also received the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 and Business Person of the Year Award in 1992, the Boy Scouts of America 2010 Scout Citizen of the Year Award and Le Club Calumet 2014 Outstanding Citizen Award. Mr. Bridge will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;
